For the past thireen years, the Gryphon men’s soccer head coach, Keith Mason has organized the event for his nephew, Baden who was diagnosed with a severe immune deficiency disorder; Wiskott Aldrich Syndrome (WAS) at two months of age. The money raised will help make the fight a little easier for families and children in hospital with Primary Immunodeficiency. The event is also a day of celebration for the many kids, with our help, that will go on to live normal active lives and that is truly worth celebrating.
Baden Thomas Klein has fought tremendous odds. WAS affects only one in four-million boys and is a genetic disorder that passes from mother to son. WAS causes recurrent infections, low platelets and a number of other problems? Left untreated, boys with WAS do not reach adulthood.
