Bruce Mazer is a Professor of Pediatrics and Head of the Divisions of Allergy, Immunology and Dermatology at the McGill University Health Center- Montreal Children’s Hospital. Dr. Mazer obtained his MD and trained in Pediatrics at McGill University and completed a Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the National Jewish Health Center in Denver, CO. He is director of the largest Pediatric Allergy and Immunology Academic practice in Canada at the MUHC, and is a research Director at the Meakins Christie Laboratories, McGill’s Pulmonary Research Institute. His research interests include understanding the role of B-cells, plasma cells and Intravenous Immunoglobulin in tolerance and immune regulation, understanding defects in B-cell memory and antibody disorders, and developing novel biomarkers for oral tolerance and food desensitization. He has been awarded a William Dawson Scholarship at McGill University and was a Chercheur Nationale of the Fonds de Recherche en Santé du Québec.
