“We cannot forget the stories of individuals who are no longer with us.”

I said to myself Allah has blessed us with another son. So charming he still weighted 5 kg at 9 months of age. He got sepsis and the doctors told us it was a reaction to some medication. The boy started falling sick, infection after infection moving from one pediatrician to another and having the same signs of sickness as his late brother. Little did we know that it was PI. One day the doctor advised me to do a test which costed a huge sum of money and we waited a month for the results and it came out as he was positive. Finding treatment was trouble and we were advised to put him on septrin every day. In 2018 half of his lungs were removed promising that he would be better. We continued checking in and out of hospital with illness. He was a clever boy doing home schooling and even beat those at school on his tests. One morning he complained of a fever and I gave him the usual medication. He said mum please give me a hug and I told him you will be fine. Those are the last words I heard from my child. I know he is with the angels. Lucky Babirye, Abdul’s mother.
